Hellboy II: The Golden Army review

Posted : 8 years, 6 months ago on 18 October 2015 03:35 (A review of Hellboy II: The Golden Army)

This is a major improvement over the first film. A lot of the characters were more fleshed out, and the new monsters are even better.

The Devil's Backbone review

Posted : 8 years, 6 months ago on 17 October 2015 07:36 (A review of The Devil's Backbone)

I love this film! It explores similarities to Pan's Labyrinth with a bit of Crimson Peak. This is a brilliant story. Sometimes I wish there were more movies with depth like this at the movie theaters.

Crimson Peak review

Posted : 8 years, 6 months ago on 17 October 2015 03:59 (A review of Crimson Peak)

Crimson Peak is so vibrantly colorful! I really enjoyed it. One of Guillermo del Toro's best films. I think Pacific Rim and Pan's Labyrinth are a little better.

Bowling for Columbine review

Posted : 8 years, 6 months ago on 12 October 2015 05:14 (A review of Bowling for Columbine)

What a brilliant documentary filled with excellent messages on America's modern issue on guns. This is still relevant even in what is going on today. The beginning of trying to create a resolution may start with this film. It is sad in 2015 that there are lots of citizens that support the NRA's psychotic belief that more guns will lower the rate at which school shootings occur.

What a beautiful film! It has a mixture of fantasy, horror, and atmosphere as expected from a Guillermo del Toro production.

The Visit review

Posted : 8 years, 7 months ago on 30 September 2015 04:20 (A review of The Visit)

This film is so simple yet extremely effective. I enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and immersion of my first M. Night Shyamalan theatrical experience. The characters feel so real and interesting, the shots are gorgeous, and the message is amazing.

The Village review

Posted : 8 years, 7 months ago on 22 September 2015 04:29 (A review of The Village)

What a beautiful film! It is shot so perfectly with beautiful music and memorable characters. This is one of Shyamalan's best films. It is such a shame that this one did not get much oscar recognition like all his other latest films.
