This 2D Metroidvania is such a joy to play. It's a beautiful and immersive experience that comes with incredible replay value, fantastic pacing and game design.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection review

Posted : 2 years, 9 months ago on 31 July 2021 08:42 (A review of Halo: The Master Chief Collection)

What an incredible collection of fantastic games. The first game is a major highlight for me where I can swap between the original and remake with just the press of a button. Incredible!

Halo 2 review

Posted : 2 years, 9 months ago on 31 July 2021 08:40 (A review of Halo 2)

What an incredible single-player narrative experience with some enhanced controls and game design over the original. Overall, I still prefer the original Halo due to its incredible atmosphere and replay value.

Prince of Persia Trilogy HD review

This is a fantastic collection, but unfortunately it is ruined by significantly terrible audio problems and it's not exactly true HD.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD review

Posted : 2 years, 9 months ago on 22 July 2021 07:18 (A review of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD)

This is such a significant improvement over the Wii version in many ways when it comes to visuals, portability, better analog controls, increased replay value due to the ability to skip cut scenes and speed up dialogue. On the other hand, the motion controls have gotten worse compared with the Wii version. The game overall is a fantastic experience that decides to expand the concept of linear dungeon puzzles to its landscapes.

Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando review

Posted : 2 years, 9 months ago on 15 July 2021 07:00 (A review of Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando)

An incredible sequel that does several things better than the original while losing what made the original so fantastic. I absolutely adore the upgrade system, the improved overall controls, and some beautiful select few pieces of the soundtrack that I absolutely adore like Maktar Nebula - Maktar Resort. The level design is fantastic with some options to try different routes, but I noticed that the first game provides more options.

Ratchet & Clank review

Posted : 2 years, 9 months ago on 15 July 2021 06:51 (A review of Ratchet & Clank)

The first Ratchet & Clank is such a phenomenal game filled with incredible replay value, addicting game design and pacing, and most importantly, an incredible story with a strong message that critiques a corporate imperialist trying to steal resources and destroy other planets for his own gains.

Gran Turismo 6 review

Posted : 2 years, 9 months ago on 14 July 2021 02:31 (A review of Gran Turismo 6)

What a fantastic racing experience that provided some improvements over the previous game Gran Turismo 5. Unfortunately, this game had a slightly inferior single-player mode with less content, and it also has an intro video problem where it completely eliminates Dolby Digital in the same way Final Fantasy X HD on the PS3 removes Dolby Digital with every fancy cut scene.

Metroid: Samus Returns review

Posted : 2 years, 9 months ago on 12 July 2021 08:30 (A review of Metroid: Samus Returns)

This is the best way to experience the second Metroid game. Just like Metroid Zero Mission, this is one of the best remakes ever made. Not as deep as Super Metroid, but its new mechanics and added changes like new bosses from the original help prevent the experience from feeling repetitive. There's some sections that still feel repetitive.

Metroid: Zero Mission review

Posted : 2 years, 9 months ago on 12 July 2021 08:25 (A review of Metroid: Zero Mission)

This is the best route to enjoy the first Metroid. One of the best remakes I ever experienced, and offers some of the best game design and pacing I ever experienced in a short amount of time. It's not as deep as other 2D Metroids like Super Metroid.
